Stacking The Shelves is hosted at Tynga’s Reviews and is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!
My NetGalley Haul
Just the one this week. I saw this one Twitter last week and really didn’t expect to be approved but it came through yesterday.

Audiobooks
You may remember that I started reading this book at the beginning of the year. I put it on hold because it wasn’t going in, and to be honest I didn’t always understand the writing at times. I’m determined to finish it though and decided that the audiobook what be a good way of completing it, especially as it’s one of the books I’ve included for the When Are You Reading Challenge.

So, what have you been adding to your shelves this week?
Nothing? 😳😉

Yes very quiet this week. I’ve got Dear Mrs Bird on the way and I’ve pre-ordered the next book in the Charles Holborne series out in June.

I am, yes. I lost count after 48 hours 🙄

It’s ridiculous I wonder why it happens to you and it hasn’t happened to me yet?

I’ve tried A Tale of Two Cities several times but struggled with it every time. Looking forward to seeing what you think of it on audio!

Glad I’m not alone! So far it’s very well done, but then I am a fan of Martin Jarvis, the narrator.

Days Of Wonder sounds so good! And kuddos to you for trying to finish A Tale Of Two Cities… I’ve tried to read that one twice myself, but just couldn’t get into it (and like you, I found it hard to understand some of it). An audiobook might just be the perfect solution though!

I recently found out that Dickens got paid by the word, which probably explains his waffling long sentences. 😉 The audiobook is very good as Martin Jarvis is a brilliant narrator.

Oh really? That really explains a lot then haha. I’ll keep the audiobook in mind!

Yes his books were originally written as series in newspapers/magazines.
