You are right even though I read loads of crime fiction there are often still elements of romance that sneak in! Good choices especially The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. I’m also going to go for a children’s book; Danny the Champion of the World, one of the best stories I can think of featuring a father and son.

It makes me so happy to see this! I am tired of telling people Irene Adler was only in Scandal in Bohemia! She’s NOT a love interest. Moriarty might be a closer love interest…

Yes to CS Lewis and the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe! Such a stellar read with no romance at all. Just the way I like them hehe.

Ugh! I just wish we had more books without romance in them, right?! Right.
There are great picks. Hm. I’d probably end up with all children’s and middle-grade books…The Boxcar Children, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, The Giver, and A Wrinkle In Time?
