First Impression Friday is a meme created and hosted by Joe @J.W. Martin – Storeys of Stories. Based on this sampling of your current read, give a few impressions and predict what you’ll think by the end.
• Did you think you’d love it and ended up hating it? Or did you think you’d hate it and wound up loving it? Or were you exactly right?
• Link back to Storeys of Stories so he can enjoy reading all the First Impression Fridays out there!

My local library recently updated one of their digital Apps with quite a few Agatha Christie audiobooks. I’ve never really enjoyed much by the ‘Queen of Crime’, except the Parker Pyne and Mysterious Mr Quinn short stories. I love the TV and radio adaptations of the Poirot and Miss Marple stories and have always wanted to listen to an audiobook. When I first started listening I really didn’t like the speed it was it was playing, and thought I might not carry on as it was too fast for me. I’ve settled into it now and I’m enjoying the story, although I am a bit confused as to who everyone is. David Suchet is a wonderful narrator, especially when he is reading the Poirot parts. 😉
Glad you’re enjoying it! Thanks for taking part in First Impression Friday!!

I got this book as a paperback a few years ago, I still haven’t read it but I’m sure it’s good, I loved The Orient Express :). Hope you enjoy the audio version, does David talk just like he does in the show when doing Poirot parts? 😀

I’m a bit confused by all the different characters and wish I had a cast of characters to refer to. David Suchet does read his Poirot parts in his Poirot voice which makes for very enjoyable listening.

A shame that they don’t include a character list somewhere, but I hope you’ll still enjoy it 🙂
