I saw this tag on Not-so-modern-girl’s blog recently, and I thought I’d give it a go, anyone can join in.  This tag is all about who you would invite to a literary dinner party, so I’d better be careful who I invite or it cause turn into one massive food fight!

A character who can cook/likes to cook

Alice from Recipe for Life by Nicky Pellegrino

A character who has money to fund the party

Sir Gabriel Courtenay from The Blue had lots of money and very good taste, so he could definitely fund it

A character who might cause a scene

Juliette from The Perfect Girlfriend, who knows how she’d behave at this party?

A character who is funny/amusing

Inspector Montalbano from Andrea Camilleri‘s crime series of the same name. I haven’t read his books for ages but they always make me laugh out loud.

A character who is super social/popular

Bel Hailstone from Martinis & Memories she’d be able to get the party going

A villain

Captain Hook he’d be a charming villain who’d know how to behave, and would be a very interesting dinner guest

One couple (doesn’t have to be romantic)

Todd & Sophie from The Little Brooklyn Bakery 😀

A hero/heroine

Jane Thynne’s Clara Vine, the English actress turned spy set in 1930s Berlin

An under-appreciated character

Fanny Gregory in The Wedding Diary (especially the audiobook), she made me giggle all the way through the book and would be an interesting character to have around the table

One character of your choosing

Jo-jo from Step Back In Time by Ali McNamara, she’d have some fantastic tales from her time travelling experiences.

Who would you invite to your literary dinner party?
