My Review

This is a super sequel to Childish Spirits by Rob Keeley which I reviewed a few weeks ago.

I really enjoyed catching up with Ellie again and ghostly friend Edward. Ellie has moved to another place in connection with her Mum’s job with Journeyback. This time she’s discovering the secrets of a London Regency house and the family who lived there.

As well as encountering more ghosts she has to contend with her parents impending divorce. with her Mum and Dad behaving very oddly indeed. Is the divorce causing their weird behaviour or could spirits be involved?

Poor Ellie gets in trouble with her Mum again in this book and is treated quite badly which made me feel quite sad for her, just when she needs her parents support. Fortunately another family member is around to comfort her.

I loved the ghosts in this story, particularly the mystery of the antique vase, which I thought was very clever indeed! The dream sequences where fantastic too, described so vividly.

Once again Rob Keeley has written a wonderful children’s ghost story and I can’t wait to stuck into the next book The Sword of the Spirit. I definitely recommend this one!
