I love this meme created and hosted by Inge @The Belgian Reviewer highlighting the difference between covers for the same book. I’ve noticed the same thing happening with audiobooks as well, so let’s have a look at some covers.
Audiobooks are on the left and paperbacks/hardbacks/ebooks are on the right
I think I prefer the one on the left, but the one in the middle does look nice too, I’m not keen on the one with the red cover.
I can’t quite decide on this one as I like both. If I was forced to choose, I’d probably pick the one on the left.
Hmm another one I can’t decide on, probably the one on the left again.
I definitely prefer the one on the left, I like all the different colours and the cover is more interesting.
I really like the cover on the right. I love the typewriter keys and the two women, it really draws me in and I want to know all about it.

left, left, left, left, right….. fab post!

Why is this a thing…? I find it rather odd… Makes it like they are totally different books.

I think it’s mostly different countries.

They also change the title sometimes which is even more bizarre!

Yes, I’ve often seen how eBooks, paperbacks, hardcovers and audio books get different covers, and have changed covers over time.

I agree with you on all (especially the first one, definitely left), except for The Distance. The left one is too chaotic for me and I can’t really see very well what it all is, so I prefer the right one more. Thanks for joining and the lovely shout out!

I agree with you up until the last two! I love the first cover of Dear Mrs Bird, I think this is because it is the cover of the book I read. I prefer the simplicity of The Distance. Great post xx

This is a fun comparison! I agree with your choices except for Grave Expectations, where I would choose the one to the right. For Dear Mrs Bird, there is no discussion, the left one is so uninteresting, whereas the one to the right is great!

I agreed with your choices for all except The Distance. I didn’t like either of them but the one on the left gave me a headache😏
Fun post, Nicki!

I like the Queenie cover that is in the middle. All of the others I prefer the one on the right for some reason… Great post Nicki.

I love this meme. It fascinates me sometimes how one book can have such different covers. (I think the right hand picture for Dear Mrs Bird captures the story far better than the other, even though I like that one too).
