Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
The rules are simple:
-
Each Tuesday, Jana assigns a new topic. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want.
-
Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to The Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post.
-
Add your name to the Linky widget on that day’s post so that everyone can check out other blogger’s lists.
-
Or if you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment.
This week’s topic is Books I Bought/Borrowed Because…
I loved a previous novel by the author
A 99p bargain and brilliant reviews
The cover caught my eye at the library
A 99p bargain and rave reviews
I loved this as an ARC
Loved the audiobook and wanted my own hardback copy
What Reasons Would Be On Your List? 📚

A great selection and I think that most of these are either on my wishlist or TBR pile 😀 Happy reading!

I have to say the reasons why I buy books are because of the cover, the author and sometimes the hype and peer pressure 😅

I haven’t heard of a lot of these, but I’m definitely going to go look some of them up! THE SWIMMING CLUB one sounds right up my alley as does the Rees book. Thanks for the recs!
Happy TTT!

I tried in a print years ago but couldn’t get into it so thought I’d give the audiobook a go instead.

I love it, just because. I just got The Foundling but it is called The Lost Orphan here in North America. I will have to check a couple of the other ones that look interesting.
