I took part in this tag back in 2017 and 2018 and was prompted to do it again after seeing Brittany @ Bookish Ramblings post on Twitter recently. 😀
1. BEST BOOK YOU’VE READ SO FAR IN 2020?
It has to be The Unlikely Escape of Uriah Heep by H.G. Parry, I absolutely loved that book!

2. BEST SEQUEL OF 2020 SO FAR?
It’s got to be Between Two Evils by Eva Dolan. It’s the fifth book in her Zigic & Ferreira police procedural series and one that I’d been waiting for ages to be written and published!

3. NEW RELEASE YOU HAVEN’T READ YET, BUT WANT TO?
Really looking forward to reading this historical fiction novel about Fred Astaire’s sister Adele 😀

4. MOST ANTICIPATED RELEASE OF THE SECOND HALF OF 2020?
I had an email recently from Simon Michael recently, and he mentioned that there’s a new Charles Holborne book out soon. I haven’t got a clue what the title is or what the cover looks like, but I definitely want to read it! 😀
5. BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT?
This was a massive disappointment, especially as it was for a listenalong via Instagram. Fortunately I wasn’t the only who found it disappointing which made it a bit easier to write my review.

6. BIGGEST SURPRISE?
City of Spies by Mara Timon a brilliant book set in Lisbon during WW2. I’ll be sharing my review on the blog tour in September!

7. FAVOURITE NEW AUTHOR (DÉBUT OR NEW TO YOU)?
I absolutely loved The Beekeeper of Aleppo by Christy Lefteri and definitely want to read or listen to her next book!
8. NEWEST FICTIONAL CRUSH?
I can’t decide, but it’s probably between Sam in Maybe One Day, Nick in Secrets of the Mist or Bill Gates in How To Disappear! ! 😉
9. NEWEST FAVOURITE CHARACTER?
I really Sam Wyndham, the main character in Abir Mukherjee’s series set in Indian in the 1920s. I particularly like his sarcasm and wittiness.
10. A BOOK THAT MADE YOU CRY?
The 24-Hour Cafe by Libby Page made me cry, but in a good way!

12. FAVOURITE BOOK TO MOVIE ADAPTATION YOU’VE SEEN THIS YEAR?
It’s not a film adaptation, but a TV series from the 70s/80s that I started rewatching via YouTube. It’s very faithful to the books and apparently it’s because the author wouldn’t allow it to me made, unless it was just like his books!

13. FAVOURITE REVIEW YOU’VE WRITTEN THIS YEAR?
I loved the audiobook of Daisy Jones & The Six so much and enjoyed writing my review. However, what makes this my favourite review, is that the Publicity Manager at Penguin Audio loved it on Twitter and offered me loads of audiobooks for review via the titleShare App!!! 😀

14. MOST BEAUTIFUL BOOK YOU BOUGHT OR RECEIVED SO FAR THIS YEAR?
It’s got to be The Foundling by Stacey Halls. Isn’t it gorgeous?!

15.BOOKS YOU NEED TO READ BY THE END OF THE YEAR?
So many that I don’t want to look and be overwhelmed by them! 😀

So fun to read your answers! 🙌

YES! To Uriah Heep 🙂 I still have to read her latest one but I think I’m going to order it next time I sit down and browse Waterstones.
I love the TAG and I love that we have similar taste in books 😀
