What’s your favourite animal?
It’s got to be red pandas! They look so cute and fluffy, although I suspect in the wild they are probably not so nice!

What got you interested in animals?
I grew up with cats, dogs, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits goldfish, and even a goat at one point, so I couldn’t help but be interested! 😂

Do you have a pet?
No sadly most rental properties over here don’t allow pets, so I haven’t owned one for years.

What is your favourite non-fiction book about animals?
I’m not sure I actually have a favourite, although I have listened to a few recently that I thoroughly enjoyed. Hugh Bonneville reading an abridged version of Gerald Durrell’s My Family and Other Animals is brilliant so it could be this as I’ve listened to it twice now.

What’s your favourite fiction book about animals?
It’s got to be the Narnia books, which are full of animals!

Have you been part of any animal conservation efforts?
Not officially but I always try and help a stranded animal, bird, or indeed insect if I see one. A couple of weeks ago I helped protect a hedgehog from traffic when I was out for a walk with my son. I actually really enjoyed standing in the road directing the cars and the drivers all slowed down and smiled when they realised what was going on. 😀

What is your top bucket list to with animals?
I would love to get a photo of a Barn owl in the wild. We have them over here but I’ve only ever see or heard them when I haven’t had my camera handy.

Loved this post Nicki ♥ I had never seen an Olive and Mabel video but have just watched six of them in a row. I don’t do ‘tag’ posts, but if I did it would be this one. FYI, I’m a cat person living for many years without a cat. The only pets in my life are my two granddogs, Kooper and Oakley, who are King Charles Cavalier spaniels.

Can’t beat a bit of Olive and Mabel to brighten the day. When I hear Andrew commentating on the rugby it feels strange despite the fact it’s his proper day job.

Such a lovely post, I love animals but couldn’t even choose a favorite one. Red pandas are very cute, same as raccoons 😊

Cats are my favourite animal 🙂 I was so happy when I finally got a rental property that allowed them.

Forgot to answer the question 🤦🏼♀️ My favourite animals are cats, house cats as well as big cats, and I also adore manatees.

I’ve literally had cats all my life, my parents had one when I was born and when he died we got another one and when I moved out I got my own, I can’t even imagine a life without a feline buddy.

Red panda’s are the cutest! I love that all our pets are rescues, and I did a lot of WWF collecting when I was younger… Lately it’s been mostly saving birds and butterflies from my cats though haha. I also dressed up as a vampire once; otherwise, does a monkey plushie to go with my Pippi Longstocking costume when I was little count? xD

This is an awesome tag Nicki. I so miss having a dog since I had to say goodbye to my Biggie almost three years ago now. I have been thinking of getting a rescue, but I want a small dog and most of the rescues are big ones, but I will keep looking. Not sure what my favourite animal in the wild would be, I would have to say pandas. I love their antics, or maybe otters, as they are so much like humans in their interactions with one another. I love all your answers.
