My Review

I loved this book when I read it in 2015, and even mentioned on my Goodreads review back then, that I could easily read it again as I loved the writing. Fast forward six years and a 99p deal on Kobo and I’ve read it again and loved it just as much!

The story is told by Jenny and it’s set in 2009 and 2010 with events leading up to her daughter’s disappearance and the aftermath. I loved the way this was written, in that the reveals came in dribs and drabs, so the whole story of Naomi’s disappearance isn’t revealed until towards the end. 

I’ve got quite a good memory, so don’t normally read mysteries, thrillers or domestic dramas more than once, but this book was too good not be re-read. It gripped me just as much this second time around, and maybe even more so according to my Goodreads activity. Even though I knew the plot line I didn’t remember every twist or reveal which was great as I could delight in the cleverness of it.  

I definitely recommend this one if you enjoy domestic dramas, thrillers or mysteries.
