Thriller Book ChallengeI spotted this challenge on Jacob’s blog recently, who spotted it on Crime by the Book’s Instagram page and I thought I’d give it a go as well 😀

The challenge is this, show a thriller with:

Favourite Detective

Sherlock Holmes is my favourite detective and although most of the stories are not thrillers, there are some creepy stories like The Hound of the Baskervilles, The Adventure of the Engineer’s Thumb and one of my favourites The Adventure of the Speckled Band

Favourite Villain

I’m not sure that I have a favourite villain, but I really did detest Randal Korn in The Devil’s Advocate by Steve Cavanagh. In fact just thinking about him gives me the shivers!

A Favourite Plot Twist

That plot twist in Thirteen by Steve Cavanagh, seriously how did he do that? 🤔

A Creepy Setting

Jake’s parents house in I’m Thinking of Ending Things by Iain Reid, still gives me the shivers!

An Unreliable Narrator

I know I always mention Juliet from The Perfect Girlfriend by Karen Hamilton, whenever unreliable narrators come up, but she really is such a character and a truly unreliable narrator!

A Cover Your Obsessed With

I’m not obsessed by it but I do like the cover of Tangerine by Christine Mangan, plus it’s a fab thriller!

An Ending You Never Saw Coming

The ending of How to Disappear by Gillian McAllister took me completely by surprise!
