Great news but nothing’s happening at the moment according to a interview I heard yesterday with Ben Aaronovitch. Apparently simon Pegg and Nick Frost were interested but then Covid happened, and everything stopped.

I love them and they’re just as good the second time around!

I think I will have to try the Rivers of London series. If you are reading them for the second time and still loving them, that is a great testament, Nicki.

I thought it was okay. It just confirms that I don’t really police procedurals. 😣

Will you be getting the rest to the series a miss then? It’s one of my favourites but if it’s not your thing, it’s not your thing. It happens 🙂

No it’s definitely not my thing. I prefer cosy mysteries these days and of course the Rivers of London series.

You’re on a roll with that Ribers of London series, Nicki! Is there a new one soon to be released too? 😮

I’m loving it Lashaan, including book 8 which really didn’t like first time around. There’s a novella out in the summer, but I don’t tend to listen to them. I’m not sure when a full book is out though.

It wasn’t for me Jo and confirmed that I don’t really enjoy police procedurals.

That’s a shame – it’s a series I’ve really enjoyed. Hope your next read is more enjoyable x

Are you rereading the full Rivers of London series? Well, I must admit I’ve done that as well. 😆 It definitely holds up for a reread.

I am and I’m even enjoying False Value this time around. I can see it becoming an annual re-listen!

I didn’t enjoy False Value at all, it was actually close to a DNF for me. Maybe I should try again?

I felt like that as well and almost didn’t listen again. I think it helped that I knew what it was about this time around, so I haven’t been confused like last time.

Yes, that makes sense, it was quite confusing. I forgot to ask if you read the last book? (the one after False Value). I kinda gave up at that stage…

Yes the next book is back to normal so very enjoyable.

You make me want to reread the River Of London books! I do miss hanging out with the characters… And let’s hope our buddy read of Liberation Street will be more successful for you. 😉 xx
