Book Blogger Hop – Favourite Book Review Site? #BookBloggerHop #BookTwitter #ILoveReading #SecretLibraryBookBlog
The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, Billy @ Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the hop on February 15, 2013. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to their own blog.
I like StoryGraph too. Just can’t find anyone there. It’s very lonely 😂

😂 It is hard to find people but I love that people can’t message on StoryGraph or like my reviews.

I’ve not heard of StoryGraph… off to investigate!

It’s really good and much easier to use than Goodreads!

I signed up to Storygraph when it first started but thought it less functional than Goodreads (which is not that brilliant I know!). Will have another look at it

I did the same and stopped using it until a few months ago and it’s so much better now!

I am a daily user of Goodreads and really don’t know how I could change to another platform at this stage. Goodreads records my TBR, all my notes of how much I pay for a book, where I got it, who recommended it to me, when my blog tours are scheduled, myriad lists, etc. I would just be too much work to switch over.

I’ve got both Lynne and definitely prefer StoryGraph now, especially the stats you get, pie charts etc! 😀

I’m liking Storygraph too and use it way more than Goodreads. I have my Storygraph link on my Linktree that’s on my Twitter and IG accounts but I guess it would be good to share it on here somehow too.

I’m going to have to check out StoryGraph, although I mainly look at reviews from other bloggers rather than going to Goodreads etc.

*sigh* What in the world are they doing to Goodreads??? The notification system is broken and has been for weeks now. It’s still my first go-to, next are my blogger friends. I’ve created an account at Story Graph but am too lazy to do much with it…for now.

It started going downhill years ago when amazon bought it. I love all the stats and that fact I can’t be invited to groups I don’t want to belong to! 😂

I do read reviews on Goodreads, as well as posting my own on there, but it’s really more a convenient inventory of my TBR pile and wishlist. I’m not sure I could face moving to another platform unless there was an easy way to import data. I find reviews by other book bloggers (or reviews on NetGalley for as yet unpublished ones) the most useful in helping me decide if I want to read a book.

I’m running both of them at the same time but spend more time on StoryGraph as it’s more pleasant place to be for me.I look at reviews on NetGalley too especially when decided whether to request a book or not.

I generally look at Goodreads reviews, but the blogs are the most reliable source! I just found out about Storygraph today and am checking that out.

I use both GR and SG but I usually check GR for reviews. Although SG is good for content warnings!

I love SG it’s o chilled compared to GR!

My frustration with SG is trying to find or upload arcs. With GR the arc is always there!

I can’t tell if it’s worth switching over to Story Graph for me hahah I’m so used to Goodreads after so many years!

If you like graphics you’ll love it and import all your GR data.

I read other blogs for book reviews. While I post reviews on Goodreads when I remember to. I use GR to keep track of my tbr and use Librarything to help sort all of my books.

I didn’t realise that Librarything was going?

I need to take a look at Storygraph. I still select books based on the cover and description, but I have added books to my shelves (purchases, borrowed or ARCs) based on reviews from bloggers I trust and know we have similar tastes. Yes, I also try and check reviews on audible for the same reason. I find that a lot of reviewers don’t comment on the narrator, which I find strange.

I love that you include comments about narrators Carla, it’s so important to know if they’re good or not.

I agree. I always look at what others think of the narrator when listening to audiobooks.

I have been enjoying the pie charts available on Storygraph, but I don’t really check out other’s reviews there…Not that I really check out other’s reviews often in the first place.
Hope you have a great weekend.

I’ve never got started on StoryGraph, but everyone raves about it especially all the stats. Goodreads and other bloggers/booktubers are my main sources for book reviews.

If i want to see reviews on particular book I go on Goodreads. Most blogger profiles I can identify there and so I know all genuine reviews from fake one. On daily basis WP readers and all bloggers I follow are great.
