The three Ws are:

What have you finished reading?
What will you read next?

What are you currently reading?
My family have all gone back to the UK and I’m able to focus on my books again! I’m really enjoying this 5th book in the historical crime fiction series set in Victorian London with Charles Dickens as an amateur detective!
What have you finished reading?
The third book in The Emmy Lake Chronicles that I reviewed yesterday, a cosy mystery, an Agatha Christie short story, and a wonderful follow up to Lost for Words by Stephanie Butland 😀
What might you read next?
You know the drill! Happy Shrug Day!😂

I loved Found in a Bookshop! I’m reading Dead Man Driving by Lesley Kelly just now and going onto Wait For Me by Santa Montefiore next.

I’ve read the first title in the Emmy Lake Chronicles, Dear Mrs Bird. I’m not usually a fan of the Second World War/jolly hockey sticks/plucky heroine kind of books but I actually quite enjoyed that one. The author captured the language and writing style of 40s and 50s women’s magazines really well. If I see Mrs Porter Calling on the library app I will probably borrow it.

The second one, Yours Cheerfully was really good as well.

Missing your family yet? That was a nice, long visit. Enjoy your reading, Nicki💜

Thanks it’s a really good series Jo. I listened to the first few on audio via Tantor, but I’m reading them on Kindle now as there haven’t been any audiobooks for years.

A Midnight in Venice – well the series – sounds very interesting. Charles Dickens as a detective 🤔 Interesting concept. Enjoy!

Thanks it’s based around the fact that Dickens used to go out with the police occasionally.

I should try a cozy mystery. I just found out about Foundation (TV show) so I just finished the 1st book by the same name and am now reading the prequel Prelude to Foundation
