the-christmas-appealSynopsis “One dead Santa. A town full of suspects. Will you discover the truth? But despite the season, goodwill is distinctly lacking amongst the amateur dramatics enthusiasts. Sarah-Jane is fending off threats to her new position as Chair, the fibreglass beanstalk might be full of asbestos, and a someone is intent on ruining the panto even before the curtain goes up. Of course there’s also the matter of the dead body. Who could possibly have had the victim on their naughty list? Join lawyers Femi and Charlotte as they read the round robins, examine the emails and pore over the police transcripts. Will the show go on?

My Review

This was great fun and just as good as The Appeal!

Once again Femi and Charlotte, the two law students from The Appeal are back looking at round robin emails and messages between the various members of the society, trying to work out who murdered the Santa and why?

I’d forgotten how awful most of the members of the Fairway Players were, but as soon as I read that first round robin email it all came back to me. They really are a vile group of people, still very cliquey and up themselves! 😂

I guessed part of the mystery quite early on, but I had no idea who the murderer was. In fact I didn’t bother trying to work it out as I was enjoying the story too much. I still enjoyed the way the story was told and look forward to Janice Hallet’s next book The Examiner when it’s published later on this year!

Highly recommended if you enjoyed The Appeal!
