Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
The rules are simple:
-
Each Tuesday, Jana assigns a new topic. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic โ putting your unique spin on it if you want.
-
Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to The Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post.
-
Add your name to the Linky widget on that dayโs post so that everyone can check out other blogger’s lists.
-
Or if you donโt have a blog, just post your answers as a comment.

Oldest book I still intend to read is probably Mansfield Park. One day I’ll get to it!

I remember the TV adaptation, so I’m waiting for a bit longer before I tackle it.

Agatha Christie doing some heavy lifting there! My oldest unread book is The Last Man by Mary Shelley, from 1826!

Fantastic Jo, not heard of that one!

I’ll be honest, I wasn’t aware of it until I stumbled over it in a bookshop. I was intrigued by it as a very early example of post-apocalyptic fiction. I don’t always get on with classics though, so who knows what will happen! ๐

I took a different direction on this. I posted the books that had been on my TBR the longest. I’ve wanted to read the Count of Monte Cristo, but still haven’t. Here’s my TTT: : https://bonniereadsandwrites.com/2024/11/19/top-ten-tuesday-the-oldest-titles-on-my-tbr/

I was going to do the same but found this was easier.

Great list! I’ve only read The ABC Murders of these, but a couple are on my TBR. I think my oldest book is probably a Edgar Allan Poe book. xx
