Saving Time by Jodi TaylorSynopsis: “From the best-selling author of The Chronicles of St Mary’s.

Life is good for Team Weird, now heroes and fully fledged Time Police officers. Luke can’t wait to bear arms. Jane has a date. And Matthew still hasn’t had his hair cut.

But Time waits for no one, and neither do criminal masterminds. A major threat to the Timeline is looming, one far deadlier than mere idiots who want to change history. And when a familiar face becomes a Very Important Lead, will conflicting family loyalties spell trouble for Team Weird?

One missing. One guilt-ridden. And one facing the end of their Time Police career before it’s even begun. Not so good then, after all.

My Review

I loved this! It’s the third book in the spin off series from The Chronicles of St. Mary’s. I reckon it was even better than Doing Time and Saving Time.

As the above synopsis mentions, this book is the continuing adventures of Jane, Luke and Matthew, (aka Team Weird) the worst recruits in Time Police history, and about their assignments/escapades through time to become fully qualified Time Police Officers.

This time their adventures take them back to England and Paris in the 20th Century, and Ancient Greece when the Acropolis was being built. They encounter all manner of potential catastrophic disasters, with threats to time and life on earth.

This was full of very dramatic situations, as well as quite sweet moments, and brilliant twists. I don’t know how Jodi Taylor manages to keep surprising me, and  making me laugh as well. It was also quite tense at times, especially when some of the characters were doing silly things that made me shout at them.

Zara Ramm’s narration was perfect as usual. I’m very happy to have her narrating these books.

Highly recommended if you’re looking for a series full of adventure, fun and time travel.
