Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
The rules are simple:
-
Each Tuesday, Jana assigns a new topic. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want.
-
Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to The Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post.
-
Add your name to the Linky widget on that day’s post so that everyone can check out other blogger’s lists.

Or if you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment.

Fun setting! I read Island Girls by Sweasey this week which has a portion of the story set in Australia!

Thanks, Carol. I was all set up to post with books set in Europe, when I changed it at the last minute!

We’re TTT twins! I also went with Australia. A couple of the authors on your list are very familiar to me….😂https://damppebbles.com/2025/07/22/toptentuesday-22nd-july-2025/

I really must get to The Lost Man – it’s the last of Jane Harper’s currently published novels I haven’t read, and I know she’s got a new one coming out soon!

I didn’t know Big Little Lies was set in Australia. Have you watched the TV adaptation as well, and is it any good? Wondering if it’s something I could add to my watchlist!

I haven’t watched it, but I loved the audiobook, a lot!

Jane Harper and Particia Wolfe are definitely going to be on my list. I have also read the Kelly Rimmer and watched some of Big Little Lies on the telly. Nice choice, Nicki.

Thanks, Carla. I can still remember how shocked and emotional I was at the ending of that that Kelly Rimmer book.

Great choices Nicki although I haven’t read any of these! I think the most recent book I’ve read set in Australia was Tuesday Evenings with the Copeton Craft Resistance by Kate Solly.

Thanks, not heard of that one!

Big Little Lies was insane, but so good, too. I’ve read a few books set in Australia and I need to read some more.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!

Great choice of topic! I’m looking forward to try Patricia Wolf as soon as I finish a couple pending ARCs, and you’ve made me remember I need to find time for The Stoning. Jane Harper is probably one of the first authors I think of when Australian settings are mentioned! xx

Great choice. I thought I would have read more of these but now I’m struggling to think of any books set in Australia. Ah, A Long Way From Home by Peter Carey

I don’t think I’ve read many books set in Australia, and all of these are unfamiliar to me.

I am such a bad Australian. I have only read one of these books (Jane Harper) but have read Kim Kelly, just not that book!

And a Garry Disher and a Liane Moriarty, but just not those books!

Australia is a good location choice. I didn’t realize that was the location of Big Little Lies.
