I do love a book challenge, so I’ve joined in with this one after spotting it on Bluesky.
Day 24 – A banned book
I loved The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas when I read it for the 20 Books of Summer 2017 reading challenge. I still remember what a brilliant book it was. The American Library Association has listed the book as one of the ten most-challenged books of 2017, 2018, 2020, and 2021. It has also been removed from reading lists and libraries for various different reasons, including this year in the UK.
I’m not tagging anyone, but if you want to join in please do!
Lady Chatterley’s Love by DH Lawrence. Remember being very keen to read that when I was a teen 😆

Excellent choice, Nicki💜 It gets banned more than any other modern book I’ve seen.

I don’t think I realized it had been banned.

Such a shame!

This is such an excellent book. It should be read everywhere, not banned to try and hide something based on real life.
