January is always a good month for me as it’s my birthday month. This year I had a big birthday that I was dreading, but it was really lovely, plus I had lots of lovely birthday money to spend on books, in all formats 🙂
I’ve managed to read/listen to 10 books this month, which I’m thrilled about.
I don’t know if you remember that one of the goals I mentioned in my post last the month, was that I wanted to share a favourite audiobook of the month.
Looking at the books I’ve read and listened to during January, I realise that I’d like to share all my favourites and not just the ones on audio.
Favourite Audiobooks
My absolute favourite is the BBC’s dramatised version of Neil Gaiman’s Neverwhere. I loved everything about this and will definitely listen to it again sometime. Following in a close second is Gathering the Threads by Cindy Woodsmall, the final part in The Amish at Summer Grove trilogy, which tied everything up perfectly.
Other Favourites
I loved these three books and highly recommend them. The Tattooist of Auschwitz was harrowing and uplifting at the same time. The PD James short stories were fab, making me want to read more by the author. Goddess of Battle was such a positive book, even though it centres around the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
How was your January, did you read/listen to any good books?
Yay for successful reading months!! congratulations!! Will check out Neverwhere on Audio as I love the book!
