Goodreads blurb: “We can’t choose the strangers we meet.
As the guests arrive at beautiful, remote Mitchell’s Inn, they’re all looking forward to a relaxing weekend deep in the forest, miles from anywhere. They watch their fellow guests with interest, from a polite distance.
Usually we can avoid the people who make us nervous, make us afraid.
With a violent storm raging, the group finds itself completely cut off from the outside world. Nobody can get in – or out. And then the first body is found . . . and the horrifying truth comes to light. There’s a killer among them – and nowhere to run.
Until we find ourselves in a situation we can’t escape. Trapped.”
My Review
This was another read on The Pigeonhole, in fact it’s my seventh read with them this year! For those of you who don’t know it’s like an online book club, reading along with other readers on the web. The book was split into 10 parts, called staves, emailed to me each day. I was able to leave comments throughout and interact with the other readers and the author.
This was really gripping and I’m pretty sure that I would’ve read this in less than 24 hours if I hadn’t been reading via The Pigeonhole.
Every character was a suspect so I really didn’t know who to trust and who to be afraid of. I had my suspicions about who might be the culprit, but I kept changing my mind as there was never enough evidence or motive to make me absolutely certain.
I loved the ending as there was a lovely twist which made me smile and think oh yeah!
A must read for lovers of mysteries and thrillers.
I love books that I can binge read! Definitely going to check this out

It’s very clever, it’s free plus you need space on your bookshelf or kindle for the books!
