I signed up for this reading challenge at the end of 2018. It’s hosted by Sam@Taking on a World of Words and involved reading a book predominantly set in twelve different time periods.
I’ve combined the first two time periods together, as I struggled to get into the book I was going to read for the Pre 1300 era. Hope that’s okay Sam?
📖📖📖📖📖📖📖
Pre 1300 – The Ring & The Crown A History of Royal Weddings from 1066 – 2011
1300-1499 – The Ring & The Crown A History of Royal Weddings from 1066 – 2011
1500-1699 – The Familiars by Stacey Halls
1700-1799 – Blackberry & Wild Rose by Sonia Velton
1800-1899 – Around the World in 80 Days by Jules Verne
1900-1919 – Anne of Green Gables by L. M. Montgomery
1920-1939 What The Wind Knows by Amy Harman
1940-1959 – The Fountains of Silence by Ruta Sepetys
1960-1979 – The Dream Daughter by Diane Chamberlain
1980-1999 – The Growing Pains of Adrian Mole by Sue Townsend
2000-Present – Bonnie & Stan by Anna Stuart
The Future – A Boy and His Dog At The End of The World by C A Fletcher
Well done for completing this. I had to ‘cheat’ a little too as the book I was going to use for The Future time period was a DNF so I substituted with an alternate history. The Future is the category I find most difficult as I read very little science fiction or fantasy. However, I’ve come up with a classic – The Time Machine by H G Wells – that I’m going to listen to as an audiobook this year.

What a great challenge, and well done for finding something for each period – I imagine that was a struggle. I’d totally allow the combining of the first two eras 😉

Congratulations on finishing this one! I managed to complete it too, although my tricky era was 1700s I believe.
