Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
The rules are simple:
-
Each Tuesday, Jana assigns a new topic. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic โ putting your unique spin on it if you want.
-
Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to The Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post.
-
Add your name to the Linky widget on that dayโs post so that everyone can check out other blogger’s lists.
-
Or if you donโt have a blog, just post your answers as a comment.
This week’s topic is Books Guaranteed to Put a Smile On Your Face and these are my choices ๐
Which Books Would Be On Your List? ๐๐๐
ย
ย

Youโd think this prompt would be easy! But no, most of the books on my read shelf are emotionally heavy! I did manage to pull a list together finally, thoughโฆ..using a few new reads and some I had listed on 2 similar posts. Love your list!

It was so good especially as Carrie Fisher reads it herself.

I’m curious to read the blurbs for all of these books! Especially Confessions and Year of Living Danishly. Thanks for all of these recs, can never have enough of feel-good books.

I don’t think I’ve read any of these books. But the covers do make me want to smile.
When you get the chance, I hope you can pop over to my post: https://readbakecreate.com/10-books-with-yellow-covers/

I’ve heard such great things about Bryson’s books, but I’ve yet to actually read one. I have a copy of A WALK IN THE WOODS just sitting on my shelf gathering dust…
Happy TTT!

I’m going to post my list tomorrow but it will include something from Judy Leigh, a couple of cozies. something from Rich Amooi, Lisa Scottoline and her daughter and some others that you will have to see tomorrow. I have read You and Me on Vacation and I totally agree, it made me laugh out loud a few times.

Notes from a Small Island is a brilliant choice. There’s a great scene where Bryson is watching pigeons at a railway station and reflecting on how stupid they are, just repeating the same action over and over….
I’d find it hard to come up with a list of 10 books, most of my reading seems to be on the serious side. One I did find funny, though it also had a serious side is ,The Diary Of A Bookseller

Oh no! You are not the first person telling me some of my comments were in their spam folder… I’m not sure why this is happening, and especially considering I’ve been terrible at bloghopping in the first place thanks to the slump. xD

Somehow I seem to have TWO copies of that Bryson book! I should probably read one of them. My husband loved his books.
