I had no idea the Daphne du Maurier wrote The Birds. I’m glad her story was much better than the movie. I really did not like the movie. Excellent reviews!

Glad you enjoyed The Birds! Your seagull experience sounds quite scary. I was reminded of the herds of pigeons which sometimes fly straight towards my face when I cross Trafalgar Square (why do they do that?!) 😆

It’s a long time since I read The Birds, would definitely re-read, but not re-watch the film.
