I love this meme created and hosted by Inge @The Belgian Reviewer highlighting the difference between covers for the same book. I’ve noticed the same thing happening with audiobooks as well. Let’s have a look at some covers.
Carrie Soto Is Back by Taylor Jenkins Reid
I love the gold cover and wish it was available in the UK!
Wolf Hall by Hilary Mantel
Well I think I prefer the red cover, although I do like the red and black of the first cover
The Miseducation of Evie Hepworth by Matson Taylor
Hmm I’m really not so sure about this one 🤔
Pieces of Her by Karin Slaughter
Well I think it’s got to be the last one, although the I quite like the first one as well.
Breakfast at Tiffany’s by Truman Capote
I definitely prefer the first cover it’s brighter so catches my eye more.
Sleeping Murder by Agatha Christie
I really like the second cover as the red stands out more to me than the other covers
I agree with you on all of them, including your indecision about Evie Hepworth. I like the second better than the first because of the typeface but am not a fan of either.
Another vote for the gold cover, it really is amazing! The Miseducation of Evie Hepworth really is a difficult choice, I’d go for the first one because I like the view from above although I like that splash of yellow and the text font of the second one too.. For Karin Slaughter with Pieces of Her I have no doubt, I choose cover 1. I’m totally with you about the last two though! Thanks so much for joining again Nicki, it’s so much more fun when I’m choosing on someone else’s blog 🙂
There’s only two where we are diverging; I actually don’t like the gold cover as much 😅 and for the agatha christie, I vote the green with flowers!! As for evie… id go with the second one ? It looks a bit more nice to the eye to me.
I actually prefer the colorful cover for Carrie Soto… Although I know most people prefer the golden one. I also like the first Wolf Hall cover better… Evie Hepworth would be the second (although a close call), and I agree with the last three cover choices.
I always enjoy seeing the different covers and trying to figure out which one best fits the story (if I have read it). I like your choices, Nicki except I do prefer the red and black cover for Wolf Hall.

I prefer the original cover of Wolf Hall. The red version just lacks impact for me.
