📚📚📚📚📚
What are you currently reading?
Bono’s memoir on audio, a PDF of a fun nonfiction via the author, and a middle grade children’s book
What have you finished reading?
I finally finished Pride and Prejudice on audio, read beautifully by Juliet Stevenson
What might you read next?

That letters to pop stars book sounds hilarious. I know that they must get some unbelievably crazy fan mail and their responses must be priceless. Happy reading!

Nicki, I wish you more happy reading this week. It is lovely to hear you enjoyed Juliet Stevenson’s reading of Pride & Prejudice. I have not tried an audiobook of Austen’s work yet, so will keep this in mind. 😊
Here’s my WWW post for this week: https://thebookwormchronicles.wordpress.com/2023/02/08/%f0%9f%93%9a-what-i-have-been-reading-this-month-january-2023-wwwwednesday/ 🙂

Thanks! I’m glad Juliet Stevenson was the narrator, as she kept me from DNF’ing it!

Oh no! Were you not a fan of the story? It is not my favourite Austen, but I still love it.

It was the writing really, and the pace was too slow.

Aw I am sorry to hear that! But I guess it would be dull if we all liked the same things! 🤷♀️

Still listening to True Crime Story, hahahahah! Reading a novel for the CWA prize I’m a judge for, and I finished Freeze by Kate Simants last night! x

😂 Bet that’s exciting being a judge. Or is it a bit of a chore?

Both! I love receiving submissions of books I may not have picked myself, but when the numbers go up and up and up, you can’t read your own books and even cleansing your palate with a different genre is tricky as you have to read allllllll the books!

Don’t throw your audiobook at me but…I’ve never read Austen😬 But you saying the narrator read P & P beautifully has me intrigued, Nicki💜

I’d tired it a couple of times Jo and couldn’t get into it at all. So even though I knew the story from various TV adaptions this was my first time with an Austen novel.

This looks like a great week, Nicki. Is now the time to confess that I’ve never read Austin? 😬

It was my first time Jo and probably my last.

I love Dickens but didn’t enjoy Pride and Prejudice.

I don’t think I’ve ever read an Austen book before… Although audio might be the way to go; it worked for me with Wuthering Heights at least.
