Horses are so beautiful. We always had a few when I was growing up – Appaloosas and Tennessee Walkers. Excellent review!

We owned a sweet horse for a few years. It was my daughter’s but I had visiting privileges!

I still have my horse book from when I was young. I used to volunteer at a horse theory stable where I got to brush and saddled the horses for them to be ridden.

Fab review! This sounds like such a wonderful photo book… I never had riding classes or anything, but used to accompany a friend when I was little and she let me ride a little at the end of her class. I also had a fantastic experience horse riding in the middle of the Bolivian desert… Horses are such wonderful animals and one of the advantages of our countryside plot is that I can see them up close more often. We even have a cheeky visitor sometimes when the owner doesn’t tie them well enough…

Thanks and how lovely that you get horsey visitors!

Our neighbors have one, so we always see at least one up close… There are plenty more in the village though, and some of them don’t exactly tie them down well, so there is always one or two wandering around.

This sounds wonderful and insightful, Nicki! I rarely see young horses when we ended up driving away from the city but the big ones are something else! 😀
