Welcome to WWW Wednesdays! hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words. Just answer the three questions below and leave a link to your post in the comments for others to look at. No blog? No problem! Just leave a comment with your responses. Please, take some time to visit the other participants and see what others are reading. So, let’s get to it!

The three Ws are:
What are currently reading?
What have you finished reading?
What will you read next?
📚📚📚📚📚
What are you currently reading?
A Sherlock Holmes story read by Stephen Fry, The Mysterious Case of the Alperton Angels by Janice Hallet, a collection of short stories by Jodi Taylor, and the non-fiction about making a more wildlife friendly garden by The Butterfly Brothers.
What have you finished reading?
I loved both these contemporary fiction books, and hope to review them soon, when I’ve worked out how to solve the problem with the lack of the classic editor! 🤔
What might you read next?
You know the drill! Happy Shrug Day!😂

I’m so used to the block editor now. It’s pretty easy once you get going with it. I just write up my reviews in Word then copy it, create a paragraph block and paste into it and it does the rest. It creates a new paragraph block for each paragraph and any headlines it also normally recognizes or its easy to transform paragraph to header. Looks like another great reading week!

That sounds pretty easy! What about adding links for previous posts and reviews?

You just highlight the text then click on the link button which is part of your options like bold, italics, etc… all you have to do to find the link if it’s a post you created is type in some words from the post header and it should pop up or you can copy the link before and paste it in.

Do you not have access to the classic ‘block’ ? That’s what I use because I hate the whole block thing.

No it doesn’t work all the time. The classic bar just stays at the top of the post and doesn’t move down as I’m typing. Disappointing.

Ah yes I have that issue too, I do a lot of careful scrolling up and down

I’m missing the Classic block as well but do something similar to Tessa or use the copy post function for things like WWW where all I’m doing is updating it.

I’m doing the copy post thing, which works sometimes, but not always, which is so frustrating! Might have to take the plunge and learn blocks properly! 😂

I’m dying to listen to Stephen Fry do Sherlock! Hope it’s living up to expectations, as well as the Hallett book. I’ll look out for your review of the Amooi book. Enjoy whatever you read 🤷🏽♀️

Thanks Jo 😀 Stephen Fry is amazing as expected, and the Rich Amooi was such fun!

I’m still using classic, but I’m frustrated with the editing bar stuck at the top and the hyperlink tool being wonky..,working for me intermittently. I was very tempted to switch to block this week. Ugh!

I’m glad it’s not just me Carol! It’s so frustrating! 😫

I suspect WP has done this on purpose to discourage us from using classic. I need to make some block templates.

Yup I’m thinking the same!

Interested to know your thoughts on Alperton Angels – I loved her first novel, and then DNFd the second! 😬

Love the idea of intentionally making your garden full of wildlife. It’s when the creatures are not expected that it’s not too lovely no more! 😛

We’re leaving parts of it to nature, and have an increase in spiders and insects and wildflowers this spring, which is quite exciting! 😀
