Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
The rules are simple:
-
Each Tuesday, Jana assigns a new topic. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want.
-
Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to The Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post.
-
Add your name to the Linky widget on that day’s post so that everyone can check out other blogger’s lists.
-
Or if you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment.
This week’s topic is a Genre Freebie, so I’m sharing some of my favourite children’s books

Great list, Nicki. Nesbit was not a well known author over here, so I have not read any of his/her books. I do have Railway Children on my TBR thought.

Thanks Carla! I just looked her up on Wikipedia and she’s got a very interesting page. Here’s the link if you’re interested: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E._Nesbit

Great idea for a Top Ten. I’m enjoying seeing all the different topics people have chosen. I think I’ve read most of the books you have chosen apart from The Silver Sword. I would include Famous Five books and Mallory Towers. I also loved Charlotte Sometimes by Penelope Farmer.

That’s a cute list. I’ve only read one of them 😱 When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit – and I only read that a few years ago!
Have a great week!

I love this nostalgic list! I loved THE LION, THE WITCH, AND THE WARDROBE as a kid and I still love ANNE OF GREEN GABLES, which I re-read every few years. The book just makes me happy 🙂
