Six Degrees of Separation is a monthly meme hosted by Kate @ Books Are My Favourite and Best. The idea is to start with the book that Kate gives us and then create a chain of six books, each suggested by the one before…

This month Kate’s starter book is The After Story by Larissa Behrendt. I’ve not read this book, or even heard of it before today.
When I saw that part of the plot of After Story was about a child who goes missing, it reminded me of Daughter by Jane Shemilt a book I’ve read twice now and loved both times, and will probably read again at sometime.
Another book I’ve re-read is What the Wind Knows by Amy Harmon a wonderful timeslip novel mostly set in Ireland in 1921.
Step Back in Time by Ali McNamara is another timeslip book, and quite possibly the one that made me love books featuring time travel.
Time and Time Again by Ben Elton is also a time travel book that made me want to read more in this genre, even though it hurt my head a bit when it became quite timey wimey.
A book that definitely hurt my head a lot was The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton. A book that needs no introduction unless you’re new to the book blogging community.
And my final book this time, (see what I did there?) is Wrong Place, Wrong Time by Gillian McAllister one of my favourite authors, who wrote a brilliant thriller with timeslip elements.
Starting with After Story by Larissa Behrendt and ending with The Wrong Place, Wrong Time by Gillian McAllister via other books with a time travel/slip element hope you enjoyed the trip?!
Brilliantly connected, Nicki💜

Oh, I loathed Seven Deaths … couldn’t finish it. But nevertheless this is a great chain, brilliantly connected throughout.

I have read quite a few time slip novels over the years, but none of these!

I’ve read a few by Nicola Cornick and Kate Ryder as well, but they didn’t come to mind when I was putting my chain together.

I’m glad to see there are some other commenters who haven’t read The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle. I was beginning to think I was the only one

The 7 deaths also hurt my head but in a good way, I took so many notes trying to figure stuff out but I loved the reading experience! 🙂 Fun chain! My #6Degrees is here.

Thanks I took notes as well, but gave up as it only confused me. I loved the book though!
