My Review

This was another fantastic Eddie Flynn thriller!

I must confess that I wasn’t sure if I was going to read this one, as I didn’t the previous book in the series, because it was about a serial killer and I really don’t like books about them. I’m really glad I read this as it was so good, and one of my favourites in the series.

It’s told from multiple points of view including Eddie himself, members of his team, Ruby Johnson, and a couple of other people who I can’t mention for fear of spoiling the plot.

Eddie was on great form again in this book. As well as being one of the defence lawyers for this case, he had other issues he urgently needed to sort out, which made Kate (his legal partner) take on most of the trial. As usual I really enjoyed the courtroom scenes, and loved ‘seeing’ Kate at work.

As expected there were quite a few twists and turns and some fantastic Eddie Flynn ‘moves’, which I thoroughly enjoyed. It one of the things I love the most about this series, and keeps me coming back to it. I also love Eddie’s team who’ve become like family, just as Steve Cavanagh mentioned in the acknowledgements at the back of the book.

Did I guess when the big reveal came? Only just before it all came out, otherwise I didn’t have a clue, and just enjoyed the story.

Highly recommended if you enjoy legal thrillers!
