My Review

This was good fun! It’s the first book in The Time Police series, a spin-off from Jodi Taylor’s The Chronicles of St. Mary’s.

As the above synopsis mentions this book is all about Jane, Luke and Matthew, the worst recruits in Time Police history, and about their assignments/escapades through time to become fully qualified Time Police Officers.

Their adventures take them to Ancient Egypt and Tutankhamun’s tomb long before Howard Carter discovered it, Australia before the rabbits took over, and Ancient Rome at the time of Julius Caesar’s assassination, where they bump into a St. Mary’s team.

I wasn’t too sure what to expect from this series and this book has started it off in a really good way. I loved where the story took me, especially when there was a unexpected twist halfway through, with a really good mystery to work out.

Zara Ramm’s narration is perfect, just as it was for the Chronicles of St.Mary’s. I’m so glad she’s the narrator for this series as well.

Highly recommended if you’re looking for a series full of adventure, fun and time travel!
