My Review

This was another good book in the Frankie Elkin series, a very tense thriller set on a remote island in the Pacific Ocean.

Once again Frankie is looking for a missing person, but her client this time is a serial killer known as The Beautiful Butcher and the missing person is her sister, who she hasn’t seen for a very long time. Frankie isn’t keen on the situation, by can’t resist looking for the missing, and so reluctantly agrees to the mission, after meeting with ‘The Beautiful Butcher’ and her lawyer.  

I just knew it was a bad case that Frankie was taking on, especially being sent on two fights to the island via the Hawaiian mainland, to a very remote island with patchy contact with the outside world. Fortunately most of the people she was working with in her undercover personae were very welcoming, even though the island itself was a very hostile place. The coconut crabs and the humidity sounded horrendous, I would definitely not be going anywhere near the place.

As Frankie starts to carefully look into the real reason for being there, she finds a lead and lets the lawyer know what she’s found. Then things start get really weird. 

This was a really good thriller with an excellent twist halfway through, and then some more that took me by surprise. I didn’t even try to work out what was going on, because I was enjoying the story too much!

Definitely recommended it you enjoy this series. I can’t wait for the next one!
