Synopsis: “From the best-selling author of The Chronicles of St Mary’s.
A ghost train, lost in Time, hurtles through the night. Not the ideal place to be trapped with an old enemy or at loggerheads with your teammate. That, unfortunately, is exactly where Luke and Jane find themselves.
Hot on their heels, can Lt Grint and his fellow officers overcome all obstacles and rescue them before the train disappears forever?
Back at Time Police HQ, chaos reigns as Matthew risks his sanity to track everyone through the Time Map and a Mikey experiment goes horribly wrong, exposing a secret that should have been kept hidden for all Time…“
My Review
I loved this! It’s the fifth book in The Time Police series, the spin off from The Chronicles of St. Mary’s.
This time Jane and Luke end up trapped on a ghost train hurtling through time with few opportunities to escape. Matthew, the third member of Team Weird, aka Team 236, almost gets lost inside the Time Map, trying to work out where they are in time so they can be rescued.
Meanwhile back at Time Police HQ, Mikey is causing problems whilst trying to tweak one of her inventions, and nearly puts everyone out of action. Jane and Grint’s romance is put to the test, whilst he tries to rescue her from the ghost train, and Smallhope and Pennyroyal are up to their old tricks as well.
This was another fab book in this series, following Team Weird on another disastrous adventure through time. As usual it’s full of tense moments, laugh out loud situations and time travel. It also left me with a fantastic cliffhanger for book six, which is out in October!
Zara Ramm’s narration was perfect as usual. I’m very happy to have her narrating these books.
Highly recommended if you’re looking for a series full of adventure, fun and time travel, but be warned you should really read the St. Mary’s series first, before you get to this one as they’re all connected.

I just started rereading the first book in The Chronicles of St. Mary’s series. Haven’t made it to the Time Police series yet, but it sounds fun!

I agree with everything you said here. And I’ll double down on Zara Ramm’s narration–amazing! Even if I read the Kindle version first, I always get the audiobook too. I can’t listen to Jodi’s books enough.
