Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl.
The rules are simple:
- Each Tuesday, Jana assigns a new topic. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want.
- Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to The Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post.
- Add your name to the Linky widget on that day’s post so that everyone can check out other bloggers’ lists.
- Or if you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment.
I’ve only ever re-read a few books over the years, When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit, The Chronicles of Narnia and A Christmas Carol, but I’m now discovering the pleasure of re-reading. So here’s my list 🙂

I’m not sure about re-reading with so many books I need to just read! I can see the appeal though. I do have a few old movies that I enjoy re-watching, but maybe that is a different experience. Great post!

I know what you mean and these are all audiobooks so maybe it’s similar to watching a favourite movie!

I would like to hear some of my favorites on audio as re-read. Brilliant idea

I don’t have a habit of re-reading no.. my reading usually involves finding out the identity of a killer and once you know it.. you get it :-). I would like to re-read It Ends With Us (by Colleen Hoover) though because I really want to experience the feelings I had reading this one again, it’s such a powerful story 🙂

I don’t think I could re-read thrillers unless I didn’t get it first time

I’m not a big re-reader myself. I haven’t read any of these books but, I’m really looking forward to reading Jane Thynne’s books!

I think you’ll really enjoy them 🙂

I find when I’m in a reading slump the best thing to do is re-read books you love. The Notebook – Nicholas Sparks, JoJo Moyes – Me Before You, and any of Dani Atkins are my particular favourites. 📚

Have to say, I don’t often re-read books, unless their childhood favourites that I want to share with my kids. However, my list would include:
The Catcher in the Rye – J D Salinger
Treasure Island – Robert Louis Stephenson
Solo – Roald Dahl
Danny, Champion of the World – Roald Dahl
The Iron Man – Ted Hughes
Phoenix – S F Said
Wishful Drinking – Carrie Fisher

I think the only one on your list that I’m familiar with is Danny Champion of the World.

I always think of readers who re-read with a bit of awe and wonderment… There are only very few select books I have reread and even less of those that I am willing to reread… I don’t know why… sometimes people say- oh whenever I feel in the mood for something wonderful, I pick up my favourite book– and I get a bit jealous because once I have read the book, I want to try something new, no matter how good the book was 😀 hahah… maybe I will change my tune and start rereading more as well… never say never 🙂

I used to feel the same way, but now with reading so many ARCs it’s sometimes nice to relax and re-read a favourite book. 😊
