I saw this on Always Trust In Books last week and knew I had to join in.

What is the longest amount of time you can comfortably go without picking up a book?

A few hours or I feel fidgety.

How many books do you carry on your person (or kindle) at any one time?

I usually take a paperback safely wrapped in my book buddy and of course I have loads of books on my Kindle App on my phone.

Do you keep every book you buy/receive or are you happy to pass them on to make space for more?

Unless it’s a book I loved or know I’ll read again, I’m more than happy to pass books on to make room for new ones.

How long would you spend in a bookshop on a standard visit?

Twenty minutes at the most because I feel guilty just browsing and not buying, but I could spend hours in the library!!

How much time per day do you actually spend reading?

Hours if I can.

Where does the task ‘picking up a book’ appear on your daily to-do list?

After breathing, eating and drinking 😀

How many books do you reckon you own in total (including e-books)

Too many according to my family! 😂

Approximately how often do you bring up books in conversation?

All the time with family and friends, not so much with strangers, although I did mention a book about Marilyn Monroe when in an art shop recently .😁

What is the biggest book (page count) you have finished reading?

According to Goodreads it’s 11.22.63 by Stephen King at 704 pages.

Is there a book you had to get your hands on against all odds i.e searching bookshops, online digging etc?

Yes, The First Casualty by Ben Elton. I eventually found a second hand copy but didn’t like the main character and so DNF’d the book.

A book you struggled to finish but refused to DNF?

What are 3 of your main book goals for 2018?

More audiobooks, more reviews of my own books, more buddy reads.

Have you ever had the privilege of converting someone into a reader (maybe via inspiration or incessant nagging)?

Yes my son, through reading to him from an early age.

Describe what books mean to you in five words.

A constant friend and mentor.

So, do you think I’m a book addict and what about you?
