Happy Wednesday!
LOL I’ve been trying to make it through A Promised Land for a year now along with Becoming. 😅 I can’t seem to finish either yet.
I hope you enjoy the rest of your week!

I loved Becoming and I’m enjoying aspects of A Promised.

A Promised Land makes me anxious as I read. It’s like even though I know what happens, knowing it doesn’t help ease the emotions of living through that time period. I will say, though, Becoming and Obama’s podcast with Bruce Springsteen were much more engaging to me than either book has been.

I’m in the UK so it hasn’t effected me like that. Thanks for the podcast recommendation I’ll have to check it out.

I’m enjoying Jo, it’s working well as an audiobook.

I have a hardback of A Promised Land but I think I might get the audiobook, it’s a doorstop of a book which always makes me feel intimidated. I hope you’re enjoying it.

It’s lovely hearing him read it, and I love the personl angle, but I’m finding the political aspects are going over my head.

How’s The Promised Land? Is it as good as Michelle’s book? 😮

It’s much heavier than Becoming, and longer so I’m taking it slowly.

As always, I am impressed with your ability to read more than a book or two at a time. I just finished Sooley by John Grisham (It broke my heart.) I am currently reading The Book You Wish Your Parents Had Read by Philippa Perry and Wild Man Creek by Robyn Carr. Thank you for the book insights and sharing!

It was really lovely. In fact it was so good I got my own copy and have pre-ordered parts 2 and 3. They’re only 49p each so I couldn’t resist! xx
