Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
The rules are simple:
-
Each Tuesday, Jana assigns a new topic. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want.
-
Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to The Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post.
-
Add your name to the Linky widget on that day’s post so that everyone can check out other blogger’s lists.
-
Or if you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment.
This week’s topic is Books I Love That Were Written Over Ten Years Ago and here are my choices!

That kind of lists just makes me aware of my illiteracy and lack of time left to mend it.

Great choices, Nicki. Any of the James Herriot books and the Christmas Carol should have been on my list too. I could have changed my list a hundred times. 😁

Thanks Carla, I actually had a much bigger list in the beginning! 😀

Oh shoot! I was already wondering why some comments weren’t appearing… It seems like WP doesn’t like me bloghopping if I don’t do it daily. xD

I never read any of the Narnia books when I was a child. I feel I missed out somehow

I did read the first one a few years ago. Still many more to explore though.

So many interesting books on your list. It’s random, but I’ve noticed Sherlock Holmes is read by Stephen Fry. And I love so much how he sounds, don’t you? He’s a great actor, but also an excellent narrator;)

Yes he’s brilliant at reading these, especially as before each book he gives an introduction about Conan Doyle and what was happening with the character of Sherlock Holmes.

I didn’t have any of these on my list this week, but you do have some books I’ve enjoyed here: my dad used to read the James Herriot books to me when I was a kid so they’ll always have a special place in my heart, and I also really enjoyed The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.
