This gorgeous secondhand hardback from a local tearoom for £1!
Having reached the Holy Grail of 100% feedback on Netgalley recently, my shelf now has 8 books on it! Two are for blogtours next month, four are Christmas books I’ll read later this year and two are 2024 releases!
It’s like an online book club Lynne, but you read the book in segments rather than having whole book in the beginning. I’ve had some really good experiences with it, particularly if the author joins in with comments and insights into the book and writing process.
I think it’s mostly the UK Carla, because it depends on country rights just like NetGalley. I could be wrong though, as I haven’t read anything on there for a few years.
lovely week! What a pretty find at the tearoom!! xx

I’ve wanted to start that DS George Manolis series for some time now. Are you enjoying? Only the first book is available in the US.
Enjoy everything, Nicki💜

Thanks Jo! 💜 I loved the first book it was a really good thriller. I’ve avoided the second one because it didn’t have good reviews including one from my husband,as it wasn’t set in Australia but Greece. I’m really looking forward to this third one though, as it’s back in the Outback with a brilliant character from the first book. Hope that makes sense! Here’s my review for the first one if you interested : https://thesecretlibrarysite.wordpress.com/2022/01/06/minibookreviews-the-stoning-by-peter-papathanasiou-outback-creed-by-jonathan-macpherson-outbackcreed-thestoning-thriller-outbacknoir-outbackcrime-netgalley-secretlibrarybookblog/

Lynne beat me to it, I was wondering the same thing. I am assuming it is only available in the UK, but will investigate.

The Owl book is very popular in the bookshop. I believe the author is a presenter on the country life program or something similar on the BBC x
