Book Blogger Hop – Favourite Authors List? #BookLover 💙📚 #BookBloggerHop #BookTwitter #ILoveReading #BookX #SecretLibraryBookBlog
The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, Billy @ Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the hop on February 15, 2013. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to their own blog.
Same! I have a list of authors in my mind and will immediately flag a new novel from them when I hear about it. For me, this includes Beth Lewis, Laura Shepherd-Robinson, and Jasper Fforde to name a few!

Yes to Laura Shepherd-Robinson Jo, love her books!

I’m going to check out some of these books you’ve mentioned! I don’t have an actual list either. But I know people who do spreadsheets. I wish I was like them. lol.

You took my answer😏 I’ve quite a big list that pretty much lives in my head, except those I’ve listed on Fantastic Fiction. There are some I’ll spend a credit on immediately (Angela Marsons for one) and will do the same for the others if the library doesn’t cough it up. They’re auto reads for a reason.
Don’t know why I haven’t used Goodreads for this…

I didn’t know you could make lists on Fantastic Fiction!

You can designate an author as a favorite and you’ll receive notifications whenever they add a new book. They get feeds early.

That sounds good!

I guess, I belong to the more sceptical readers. Rivers of London used to be auto-buy, but not anymore after a few disappointments with the later books. Osman is a clear favourite, but even with him, I prefer to see the reviews trickling in before buying.

That’s a shame about the Rivers. There’s a new novella out in September featuring a young Nightingale in Jazz Age New York read by Kobna!

Sounds good! Nightingale is one of my favourite characters. ☺

I like him too. I don’t normally read the novellas, but this does sound good, especially with Kobna narrating!

I definitely have auto buy authors that I watch for!

Same! And when I find out about new books by my favourite authors, I add them to Goodreads and/or Amazon.

I sort of keep it my head too.
I don’t make a physical list, but I do write down a new book an author has coming out, and I check NetGalley. :)

NetGalley is a great place to check!

Not a written list, but a mental list. Fredrik Backman being on the top!

No surprise there Lynne as I know you love his books!

Daphne du Maurier springs to mind immediately, but I doubt I’ll see any new books from her! I love every book I have read written by Kate Morton and also Susanna Kearsley, so they are definitely top of my current list.

My Mum likes Kate Morton and I think I’ve got a book by Susanna Kearsley.

I thought of another favorite author – Diana Gabaldon! You really should read your Susanna Kearsley book if you haven’t already.

I have a book where I used to keep track of my favourite authors and series, but there are too many now, so don’t do it anymore. I have subscribed to many authors newletters so keep track that way now. I know I miss some along the way and play catch up though.

Newsletters are brilliant way to keep track!
