Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
The rules are simple:
Each Tuesday, Jana assigns a new topic. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want.
Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to The Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post.
Add your name to the Linky widget on that day’s post so that everyone can check out other blogger’s lists.
Or if you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment.
This week’s topic is Buzzwords or Phrases That Make Me Want to Read (or Avoid) a Book but I find that it’s an eye-catching cover that grabs me first! So with that in mind here are some covers that definitely caught my attention! 😉

There are some great covers there Nicki. I particularly like The Queen’s Spy.

A cover very rarely influenced me when I browsed physical shelves to find new reads because I would immediately turn to the back to read the blurb, but now that I mostly browse online the cover definitely makes a difference.
Thanks for sharing your #TTT

It’s a;ways a cover for me, even if the blurb is interesting!

Titles and covers are what grabs a readers eye first. If the cover isn’t interesting, I’m more likely to pass on the book. That said, beautiful covers don’t always mean a beautiful story.

Great twist on today’s topic, Nicki. I’m also a cover lover, so unless I have selected a book based on a review I’ve read, the cover is also what attracts me originally, then I read the blurb.
